DC 4-14-30 Centranthus Calcitrapa (see 3-26-30) Fl. Formentera Rd. In Bas. 225 diff. bettlies & Cusseosiphon, Does not very clear. But note in this first locality 2-branched V fls uni-lateral. Bracts thencealed which a pinkish bordered are not ciliato. 4-14-30 Melissa minuta L. Ku 7817, Bas 509 Fl. Formentera Rd. (cf with M - l forma vulgaris 4-10-36) St. 5o 13 in high. Inv involute aetaeema. Effect quite unlike forma vulgaris but fls quite similar. Spiklets few 3-6 & distant (the space bet. longer than spiklet) 5mm long. Glumes broader than f. vulgaris at top with blunt point, not as long as spiklet, = M. ramosa Vill Bm 864 4-14-30 Carex Fl. In ditch closed just west of Pollensa Puerto. No los or roots collected. St. slender & but edges not sharp, ridged. Inv.bract aetaeum 1-3 times as long as leaf or edge. Head ½ in high, about 8 closely approximate spiklets. Spiklets mostly fls, a few f. Ahyumes 2. Scales brown with broad scarious margins & narrow ligule colored midrif (greenish sometimes) which is more or less prolonged at apex. Perigynium with thin edges v slight bidentate beak, culen rough on edgea below single.
