Transcription
Calyx Tubular 4 mm + teeth 1+ mm. Hairy. Hairy like lvs but leaves teeth dark. Corolla white with purple markings. Standard beeked, tapering to joint which is//to wings. Standard longer than wings & wings longer than keel (very pubescent, // ovuled (in cases) [Barney "Cali monosperma". Fls in 1-3 fl axillary raceme, peduncle almost twice lf. each pedicel subtended by narrow bracts as long as pedicel, & each fl with 2 obtuse bracts at base. The more advanced fr aug. that only 1 male develops. 4-14-30 Stachys arvensis L. Kn H 339, Bas 367, Bon 353 Box 368 ill. At Fermento Rd west side divide. Of with S. linearis L. 4-14-30 anthers placed the same way - end to end - v lower stamens inclined to curl outward. Calyx 6 mm long at anthesis, growing much wider (not inflated) & at least somewhat longer later, naked within, its equal teeth markedly cili- ate & with short, stiff spine. Corolla purplish with purple spots, upper lip concave, pubescent on back, hardly notched. 4-14-30 Iris longisclinium L. (see 3-29-30) Pollenusa Puerto. Fl which evidently withers in afternoon. vbl.
