Bracts involucral & sim- ilato simple ones & involucra. Receptacle jointed rounded, no sessile central fl. No Caucalis fits as well. Rays to 17 (sometimes bearing only one fl) and outside flo no larger than others so not C. platycarpos L. If not as C. labrytha L (See also ill Bor#451), envl too well developed for C.daucoides L or C.leptophylla L. v jaland not velaty as C.maritima Boenn.
