Salt Laker, Saturday June 20 heavy rain in the afternoon and night. I had a good nights rest at the house of Mr. Broujet. Arose at 5 A.M., had eggs for breakfast and as the wind is from the east we sailed under favorable conditions for Sun River (Rivi du Fusil). Mr. Broujet goes with us to look after "the line". At 9.30 we are again at South West Light and the "mail" goes ashore. At 10 we sail for the Sun River in a good breeze. At 20.45 we are opposite the Jupiter River Camp, just as we front of South West Light harbor we comes the cable ship Ontario to look after the cable that runs from here to Gaspe. It is now at repair. Arose at Cape The boat puts us ashore at Mr. Gilverey cliff and we find it any for collecting. It is about 4 miles east of the Sun River and about 5 1/2 miles west of the Jupiter River.
