May near the F, on jagensis also occur a large Orthoceras and a Phragmoceras At the base of F. occur thicklandic and then come in Leptrodia hemispherica. Probably less than 10 feet lower occur Penta ceramus Mongus, all in separate rocks. Here again at the very top of E all of the fossils that I know suggest only Clinton! It is true that there on a far more Postified Clinton fauna and the individuals once abundant, still the fauna is Clinton. I see none of the Archostea guide species. Stinipura radiata is very rare at Anticosti and where are the other spina bearing backjords. The collection made to day from the top fossils kinds of beds of E to ad F, is not as large as I had expected to make. As there are almost no free fossils everything has to be taken on a slate. This is one of the surprises of Anti- costi that there or much Ammonites are or little shale.
