Saturday June 27 English Bay. Went to bed last night at 7 P.M. and slept fairly well until midnight After that short slumbers and considerable orales. Took quinine about every 3 hours and this morning I am quite sick and dizzy. Dressed and went to the breakfast table but could eat only one egg, a small piece of bread and a cup of coffee. The latter soon made my head ache all the more but in half hour it ceased. After o'clock I feel a little better and am off writing these notes. The day is fine and I hope Poiret will be able to sail to this place. Poiret arrived with the boat at 4 P.M. Had vermicelli soup, a glass of milk and a piece of bread for lunch.
