P. De Benedictis 1965 June 7 Fairbanks, Alaska arrived by plane from San Francisco about midnight and spent the night in Hotel Nordale. Spent today looking at birds around Fairbanks. Birding: 8 Amer. Gull 8±2 Hammond's Flycatcher 1 Western Woodpecker 2 Ravens 500 Bank Swallow 100 Cliff Swallows 75 Tree Swallows 25 Violet-green Swallows 40 Robin 20 Swainson's Thrush 20 Bohemian Waxwing 2 Ruby-crowned Kinglet 200 Yellow Warbler 25 Myrtle Warbler 2 Northern Waterthrush 30 Wilson's Warbler. 1 Rusty Blackbird, ♀ flushed 3 Teals from a net 8 feet up in a creek over a straight drainage ditch; she protested noisily to my presence
