De Benedicht 1965 TRANSECTS Bewow, Alnwick 17 July TRAP LINE XI (cont.) arose and forced a flock of 17? and 20? and landed ahead of me in the transect area - m f sat 4/0 B 4/4 C, O - Red Phalaropes seen just outside transect. TRAP LINE XI, post 10.0 to TRAP LINE XII, post 10.0. 408/64/10 pug/pant crossing creek. No birds. Pectorals seen just out side in 08TH creek (2) and in a puddle (1). TRAP LINE XII, post 10.0 to post 0.0. 411 to 417 pm. last to in 08TH creek. No birds. Red Phalaropes seen just outside area in 08TH creek. TRAP LINE XII, post 0.0 to LINE XI, post. 0.0 417-419 pm. ~1/2 in 08TH Creek. m? st ? 2nd day 3/0 B 2/2 Co not seen to feed. Note - grass in stream has grown considerably, so that there is now little open water - this grass fielded pool type habitat preferred. All birds very shy and flushed at long (158? feet) distances.
