Redford July 29-1912, Monday. Collected all morning in the brick and Tilo grounds about 3/4 mile north of Redford railway station and St George house. The section here combined with that of the railway cut is as follows:- "Ridge" at railway cut 3/4m. E. of Red. blue limestone weathering into flaky conchae shells, Astarte reticulata gmbl. About 4 feet this Calcareous shales with an abundance of Cladochorus and less of P. mucronatus About 6 feet. Blue shales nophite with Spirifer ornamentos About 8 feet. Blue shales Thickness not seen but probably about 8 feet. Lower coal bed, About 3 feet. One or two feet of dense limestone About 2 feet black bituminous shale with Zeilaphichus limitares About 6 inches Loric Hamilton Brick Clays About 14 feet. Microphyllus decuss in lower foot and large Chondro reticulatum.
