that occurs by the thousands but not one of which shows the hinge character. Brad- fords are very scarce, an occasional Debatella sinuata, more often Rafinesquira alternata and prr Strigmenra sutenta, and partly A. nitens. Very rare Platy- stylia typata. Calymene paymants are very common but always in fragments. Isotelus payments are also often seen. An occasional but fairly good Orthoceras near Q. duceri turns up and exceedingly rare the endoceroph of an Endoceras. Jychopeia modesta initially occurs com- monly throughout but is only rarely seen in good specimens. Fuertids are even present throughout the whole series, c.Lodi. Whittaker got Catageysa erratica= in the first time at mr 175 fut above the base of the serie (i.e above the lake) or at mr 35- fut above the railway bridge which must place the same Gome- note near the wagon road bridge.
