However in no case can the joints be once made out for all are indistinguishable in the partly fractured rock and only come out accurately on weathering. The reefs make dunes and are easily distinguished on the grazing farm land? What is the age of these ligitations ? Bell says "Clinton" but there is little to connect it with the New York Clinton. The Gneflotheca planreunrea is suggestive of the "Clinton" = Gredina of Hamilton and Ouelas. The cores known of the exposures seen today are of Siluric character and of course are to be expected in the shaly and sandy Ouedina. It is an early phase of Lilugian - Infrath - an Artic early phase- of which but a very little is to be seen at Toronto Hamilton Niagara Falls. There's still much to be learned in regard to this mantorranig "Clinton"
