magnesian 1 These lower argillaceous limestone are derived from the other [illegible] and under them are light greenish. At one time the top 2 feet were used for cement burning. In looking through the quarries found in these lower beds, Halysites catenulatus (large corallites are loose ones) and a Lemicrascimium. These forms are unknown to me in the “Clinton” limes. In the basal diluvites Silicaries heads and tails piled together like saucers occur in places. Share a sample, and the Halysite.
