Ordovician and all is of probably early Pennsylvanian age. Certain are of marine in origin. At present the evidence is clear against Iryer. Certainly not a single frond shows Ordovician characters. The plants of the Jackfork began though to be from renewed Jackfork beds. Its entire evidence affords the soft muddy nature of the plant beds. They resemble Charlotte brome. When contrasted with the Jackfork quartzites because the difference is great, but on this evidence no one would be justified in saying that the plant beds are renewed Jackfork. I must have to talk to Iryer about their relations. Iryer is deeply concerned over my Jackfork decision! Professor Reed and me, Iryer and Place to lunch. Mrs. Reed is a good talker and the four behind the throne. Had a good time and a good meal as their done. Iryer is deeply interested in Dr. Laura Harris as for the Oklahoma Survey as Juliette gets at $2000. With the Empire he makes tons of mud, if he goes he will in the end fail. He will not get on with the crowd and will soon run up against Mrs. Reed. Iryer is not a university type 1 man.
