June 23 Left on an early morning train for Sciotville and found considerable fossil mainly trachidoma of the upper horory aigqual to the Richfield & border left about 4 o'clock in Spar- my Creek. Reaching here packed two boxes and then looked around and got rock samples. June 24 In company with Mr. Hugh Shields looked over the ore claim and collected the different kinds. In the afternoon looked up sandstone at the mine and collected a lot of plants which were quite abun- dant. Left for Penderoy on a steam-
