June 17 Returned to Cin. after spending three b[illegible] at Cleveland. Left at 11 A.M. reaching Cin at 8 1/2 P.M. June 18 Started out at 6 20 for Blanchis- ton and by 2 o'clock had a boy loaded with shale containing Wabash and shale equivalent to those at Mr. Sonipfer. The boy tells me the blue clay is just full of trilobites. I at 2 3/4 started out for Leesboro. Got the balance of shale but could see no good shale. These beds liberate but few fossils, all [illegible] imbedded in the rock. Reached Leesboro about 7 o'clock.
