Collected some Lingula and Discina in the morning and then packed the box and shipped it. Balance of day spent in looking up Herzog, I Reach Cleveland 6:50 P.M. June 12 In company with Rev. Herzer- collected at Bedford, 12 miles east on Pittsburgh R.R. The ex- p-posed here are along Tinkers Creek and show the Bedford, Cleveland and Erie shales -- The first is about 80 or 90 feet thick and of the same color as that seen from Rocky Hill near Berea -- At the base of the Bed- ford, just at the junction with the Cle- vland shales where all the fossils are found.
