Thursday August 31, 1933 Wea. TUES. OCT. 26, 1909 Ther. Then went down Henjaford Brook, Here all from the road bridge dam to the Falls to its base is Highgate slate. In the bottom of the hollow on north hand are exposed 3 dist. layers having a united thickness of 5 feet. These dip Wt. at mt 15°. These were seen on an earlier trip. The central arch is next to road bridge, since 200 feet of bridge the strata dips E. at mt 10°. Partly head is in center of falls causing them in being hard to describe. From Henjaford Brook N. to Highgate Falls all is Champlain clay and float sand without hard rock exposures. Got to The Manor and Mr Smith's at 5:30 P.M. Same room as before. House at mt 4/4 filled – families with children, all from Brooklyn, Mr Smith's home.
