He has been here twice before but got no fossils. I left him to my locality of Dartford under the two big Maple trees. I dug up a lot of fossil coral and turned it over to Horrell. He took most of it and now has much more than I have. He carried away fully 100 pounds of coral and will try to sketch some of it. It was nearly noon when we started north. Then autored north and finally turned back roads leading through Beaford Plains to get into contact with Lower Cambrian to get a starting point. Saw none. When we got to about 1 mile S.W. of Great Beafin and just north of a farmer's house saw Highgate slate on E. side of road on a hitherme just uncovering. It is N' acrem. That the slate is Highgate was proved by several Agnostus and Lingula found there. A little north of W. side of road is another hitherme flat topped and pitching not over 45 thence. Here the Highgate dips slightly to E. and the cleavage and bedding coincide. Great
