Monday Aug 28-1933 Wea. WED. SEPT. 8, 1909 Ther. St. Albans, Vt. At 8.30 A.M., Professor Horwell calls for me and in his auto drive off to the north via the Highgate road. First we went west on the county road to the [illegible] farm. In general Horwell thinks the re- gion may be Upper Laffe and then Highgate with the laige formations. Beyond is the great Precocia culling the dip slope east of the Parker. He thinks it is a depositional deposit and not a thrust Precocia because we sees no evidence of crushing, slickensiding or sliding formations such as [illegible] at another place in the Helen Parker. Under the cresting fercing cliff beneath the great double Elm he got the horn-like spoil which is a guide to the lower Highgate. This should help one to work out this section. We then went on to the Bunnell road metal quarry one mile W.W. of Highgate Centre. Consider- able open digging has been done since last year. I explained to Horwell about getting the Linnar.
