Monday Sep. 5 -1932 Wea. SAT. AUG. 21, 1909 Ther. To define [illegible] cyl. locality is back of barn the fair house north of Shells Corners. Beneath it or near it is a thick zone of dol. in the Highgate but the person with only Kniff and Laproce. Maybe 20 or 30 ft. thick, or 25'. Heck calls this dol. Milton = L. Centra, and a thrust beneath resting on the high- gate. In the Highgate zone Laproce smaller than the others of the large "Milton" dol 57' plus 8' of basal cong. The difficulty in locating the thickness is due to the arriving of the bed and a space eroded out. At the road metal quarry 1/2 m. NW of Highgate center Laproce agreed to the contact between the "Milton" and the Parkin slate, but held that until prints are frozen one can say that all is L.C. and mark the contact as a local one. Then Kilmer is the Parkin slate followed by the dol. = the type of Parkins crNile. There are to me several arguments this makes his conclusion unacceptible. This cyl. is clay made up of the dol. bedrock and the then redded material associated with the dol. To me this cyl. is the same as at the base of the dol in highgate zone.
