Tuesday August 30-1932 Wea. Mon. July 26, 1909 Ther. Off on the 9.30 A.M. train to the place of yester- day. At the end of the railway the land to east is low and may have the Cheltenham grit, but how many fathoms or not less than 1/3 mile down Hurst dl. beside the rail, and to the NW 1/2mile are high hills that may have the Mallett dl. At Whichs loc. 3 is the arch noted last July, therefore all the dol. and at to the east are repeated to W. and the latter one at least to be main highway. Keith J. this gives the freedom of the Milton as 700' but then and may reduce it to half his estimate. Ask him if he noted its arch. All the same kind of dol. up to the second house on south side of road at apex of highway about turn S. 2 days no trace of rims. Then the road descends S. to the car gong road and I saw no exposures to E. But all is the dol. traversed in going up E on the road above mentioned, in the lower land should be Highgate slate. At the base of the road and just S. of the car gong road has some Hurst dl. and to the W. but to E. in Charn- plain Hill. On the E going road a little way house on N. side of highway there are exposures of Highgate slate. This opposite Whichs loc. 4 and/or then forms entrance of the slip gate and not the Milton.
