Thursday August 25 -1932 Wea. WED. JULY 14, 1909 Ther. It is now 420 yards & to the Highgate road from the base of the Highgate slate on the left of the Mill Burn cgl. This from the third gate in the E. stone wall and rail fence. This distance 1420 yards is also the thickness of the Highgate slate where the brecciation conglomerate occurs just to the N of the Highgate No-S road. All most of the Ruys Burn cgl. in Parker slate with clts, gnes and finally with the grit (Grallett slt.) or thrusts on over Parker slate (and Grallett into ‘Tonga Quarries’) There are 3 clts gnes in the Parkin east of the first hovel grig of. Each is from 5-8' to 15' or so in thickness. One of them equals the Parker Cmle, 30' thick.
