Dark and very cloudy & did not go out in the E.M.
In the afternoon took the 1:30 p.m. Bus to First road
fry over after family under railway. It is 960' N of
main road in the Brantm agl. with one large lentil boulder
new E.W grad, 20' or more acm and 10 high. To the E.
A little E. of the first house on south side of road there
is a good exposure of a highly schieoter dark slate that dips
from W to the Highgate. The bedding is hard to see but in 2
places, I think it to be about 8-10 degrees to E. From here
for about 1000' N. of the house is another one all in light
tanned schieotne Highgate slate. To the W makes a final
only 25' high, and here some slate has been dug for road
metal and the bedding and trending is very clean dipping 12°
to the S.E. Marked on one.
Farther N in line of the slate strike lies a placid
houlder of Brinrocks that is 18' x 15' x 10'. Its cast p is
derivativm full one mile.
The Highgate may go to near the meet home to turn
the road, at black stews worthy to mark the place of contact.
Is the old. are saw dark July in the Highgate or the E?
About 2 down I wrote it today. There is a grey bl., at the
road about 300' E of the above mentioned house. It may be 10'
thick and lie at the base of the Highgate. If so, all the skareted
