Wea. SUN. JUNE 13, 1909 Ther. This prominent knob stands about 75' above the general level of the land about it, and on approaching it we see that it overhangs unlike any other rocks hereabouts. It is a fine clink stone sandy rock apparently considerable grit in it too. It is not easy to make out the bedding and I determined time. It also appears to be richer of a different kind than any other of the other rocks here. Later I concluded it to be a metamorphosed mass of Arleol Parker slate. The Mallett-Parker contact seen with stones again in August 28-1935. but for important detail. Beneath the quarry floor is much more Parker, over it from west across the Araratm road and down the hills to the Mallett. To the S.W. is the hill of Grim-trothi. O Shetland appears to be made up in the Parker and may represent the Parker COTICE tops and the slatey grit beneath.
