Saturday August 13-1932 Wea. SUN. MAY 23, 1909 Ther. I saw a quartzite layer about 5'-8' thick and striking E-W. It comes in less than 10' above the Mallett. The actual contact between the Parker slate and the Mallett is not exposed, the ground area being out more than 10' above. I don't if that is a head here as Keith states. The place of this section is marked on my map. Saw no Mallett cpl. in this section though I did not look for it everywhere nor in all of the Mallett exposed. This Lawn County sequence seen this af- ternoon is a duplicate of the one to the north and seen on Thursday. The thickness of both the Ginnock and Mallett can be measured and estimated from the map.
