Wea. SUN. MAY 23, 1909 Ther.
I saw a quartzite layer
about 5'-8' thick and striking E-W. It
comes in less than 10' above the Mallett.
The actual contact between the Parker slate
and the Mallett is not exposed, the ground area
being out more than 10' above. I don't if
that is a head here as Keith states.
The place of this section is marked on my
map.
Saw no Mallett cpl. in this section though
I did not look for it everywhere nor in all
of the Mallett exposed.
This Lawn County sequence seen this af-
ternoon is a duplicate of the one to the north and
seen on Thursday. The thickness of both the Ginnock
and Mallett can be measured and estimated from
the map. This must be done at home,
