Wea. THUR. APRIL 29, 1909 Ther.
Then tried to find the cgl. to equivalent of the
Adam Postone mine, to the east of Ruffs Barril but
found none. Saw several shale as before between
apparently be on the High gate st. In looking south to
Ruffs Brook saw no as before. Read Hornsells
paper to see if he has such a cgl. as I have plot
ted on my maps.
Found another thunder zone (5'-6' thick) while
hunting in the above cgl. It is primary in the High gate
but may be in top St. Albans st.
Parsons Gable. Looked in the Drakeott quarry
at the base of the hill, and seen Carl. O. Dewar who
had two fine specimens of Bathymatus histago.
In the midst of the shale on the most overlying lie
occurs two pygord layers, that weather a rusty yellow.
The lower one is fifty long and about four feet thick.
The higher one is also about 50' long but in 8' thick.
Both levels are well up in the Parsons shale
not more than 30' beneath the capping Middle bedded
dol. Compare with Drakeotts octini, it was blue-
grey dol, creating whiteish.
