"sandstone This one is seen of wide distribution in north St. John. These shales and others with thin sandstones continues to the next strat cover south and then are off dark green shales to the bottom of the valley in which lies a stream. On the other side of the stream the land rises into the Upper Cambrian. If there is no repetition the Cambrian must be several thousand feet thick. This has not been my idea of the thickness.
