Joggins July 12- 1912, Friday
Croth Hyde and Morris left us this morning to go
Londry coal field.
Bill and J started south along the section from Joggins.
Found the interesting vertical Sejillaria and 14 Calamites
illustrated on opposite page.
Behave now passed over the material of the southern
shore to a little south of Raised Reef. The material re-
sembles much of Division 4. Throughout Div 3 there are
regularly deposited greenish shales with coal streaks
though these are of far less importance than in 4, but
the sandstone appears to be of greater free.
Division 2 appears to have no coal streaks though
the greenish shale grous are still present. Ones begin to
appear thick grous of soft crecen paired yellmish
sandstone, that are once or less cross bedded but not
or exeeing as known done in the section.
In Division 1 at the base the yellowish sandstone
between the extensive banks of red shales are thier and em-
glomeratic. Between the coarse sand are fairly well rounded
red, white, and some black glaint pebbles. At certain
grous in the sandstone occur quantities of oddly
material and in one place there is a large protactile
refut dry and 8 mts in diameter. It looks more
like lead nugget. There is near north hand of Two Rivers.
