Brindon or July 6, 1912. Left Brindon at 9.12 A.M. for Horton Landing. Spent the morning in looking for the Horton Sandstone between the station and Grand Pre. Did not see it either along the roadway or along the railway. Hyde and Morris walked east toward Orion point while one saw us coming the Brindon along the shore. Near the lighthouse at Compoort is Horton Bluff and here maybe seen considerable of the Horton series. Hyde saw no good plants but had considerable small rounded things that suggested seeds either of Coniferous or of Cycadofilices. They are not fine cases as they are too large. Told Hyde to send some to David White. Bee found the Horton in a road metal quarry on the turnpike about one mile west of Horton Landing and Calamites and Lepidodendron! At 2 P.M. left for Wolfville four miles to the west of Horton Landing. After dinner walked about 1/2 miles east along the main turnpike to the road metal quarry at the hillside approaches in the Horton that I found 7 years ago. This time the plants were not so common but here and there one for the Lepidodendron. Left Brindon at 5 P.M. by boat for Parrsboro where we arrived at 7 P.M. stopping at the same Central House.
