T. Cole 1959 General account 49 5 August - cont- 1500 - Bob Main flew over us while we were in the field - then on to our camp. We returned, broke camp, and departed around 1730. Arrived in Barrow around 2100. 6 August Barrow - in camp all day making preparations to go down to Uniat with Mewl Solomon for second running of the traps there. 7 August Barrow to Uniat - 1300 - Mewl and I departed Barrow. 1400 - arrived Uniat. We set out some lines before dinner, marking each end of the lines with large stakes painted red on the tips. 8 August Uniat - I showed Mewl the rest of the trap lines and we put up stakes at each end of them all. 7 August Uniat - ready to depart south but could not get on the plane. 10 August Uniat - God weather - no planes landing south bound - finally got onto a late afternoon plane going up to Barrow. Stayed on as south bound passenger. Met Brewer at the airport for a few minutes. Finally arrived at Fairbanks around 0330 in morning.
