to examine a tall brush area
opposite Ocean Point.
2000 - camped a few miles below the
old cabin on the right limit - near Pingo.
3 August Below Ocean Point - spent the day
in level from camp looking over
the coastal plain tundra; some of the
pingos and the strange rock formations.

mouth It killike -
1130 - departed camp #7. Traveled
against a cold north wind all day,
with mist and some drizzling rain.
Bob Main came in, landed, left us
some supplies, and we made arrange-
ments with him to be picked up
on 5 or 6 August.
2000 - we made camp #8 at the
mouth of a slough about 15 miles
below mouth of It killike.
5 August Slough camp - in the morning we
boated about 2 miles up the slough
before the water became too shallow;
then hiked out over the tundra for a
few miles.
