General Account
19 July Cohille - below Killik - rain in the
night and early morning.
1050 - departed down river
2200 - arrived at Uniat.
20 July Uniati - Nelson and John Martini
(Canadian ornithologist from Ottawa) and
I took the weasel up into Uniati Mt.
There we photographed the roughlegs and
the peregrines. Peregrines had added
eegs which they were still incubating.
1-22 July Uniati - at camp making preparations
for Nelson's return to the States with
3 gyrfalcons and a peregrine and for
my departure down river with O'Sullivan.
O'Sullivan arrived from Barrow on
the 22nd. (Nelson left on 23rd.)
3 July Uniati to Anaktuvuk River -
1310 - O'Sullivan and I left down
river in Kalanaygo with motor and
fuel.
1830 - stopped to make camp #1 on the
left limit somewhere above Anak-
tuvuk.
24 July Uniati to Anaktuvuk -
1145 - departed camp #1 - stopped a few
miles below on the right limit on Beach-
land tundra.
1745 - passed mouth of Anaktuvuk R.
