1. Code 1959 General Account 24 June Unint- intermittently cloudy all day. Ran T2, 10, 28 in the morning. Skimmed in the early afternoon. Bobby Fischer, Paul Tietjen and Otto Beist came in from Barrow around 1530. At 1645 the four of us went up on a recon flight to check thereview for winter conditions and possible landing areas for the planes. We followed the Colville up to the Killik, then up the Killik to the lake area about midway up the Killik valley. There we were hit by heavy winds that prevented us from going on up to Eastw Creek, so we got westward to the Kewapa Lakes, circled there and turned back on same route. Heavy weather prevented us from going on with the Migu drainage to check possible landings for a float plane in that area. Between Kewapa Lakes and the Killik, we passed over the spot where I began the Oolumwoguith trip in '64. Fischer circled around the gypsalem cliff tops but no birds could be seen there. Noptunugun were seen on the entire trip. Ran traps in the evening.
