T. Cade 1959 General Account 19 June - cont- On the upper terrace. We came back along Sea Bee Cv, stopped by last year's shrike area, and returned to camp around 1500. 2100 - returned to the trap lines - back in camp around 2300. Perfectly clear, calm day. Alders are beginning to shed pollen - looks like another bumper crop year. Felt-leaf willows are just leafing out. L edum has large flower buds. Euphorbium cognitatum beginning to mature heads. 20 June Uniat - 0800 - ran trap lines in the morning - carried Carson around to lakes at foot of Red Hill. Examined brushy areas on Red Hill - observed a shrike nest. Returned to camp at 1530. Back to traps in evening. Another all clear day - breeze from E c NE most of the day. June Uniat - Ran trap lines north in the morning. Drove weasel out to camp area and along the river in brushy areas - looking for shrikes - back to trap lines in the late evening.
