General Account
11 June - Peters - Schwiele - Overcast most
of the day with light showers in
the afternoon and evening. Last night
min 33° F. Low temp - first night
that has stayed above freezing.
Several flowers now blooming -
dwarf green leaf willow, leave
large leaf buds but leaf leaf still
have odd cut leaves no leaves, Little
lake NW Peters has a large sheet
all around ice. Most of snow now
melted off the ice of Peters.
0900 - Checked Schwiele nest #1 -
0915 - off to north end of Pileys in
Bombawlin. Set out a line of traps
in the wet tundra block of the Will
camp on the flats between the two
lakes. They walked over to and
around the little lake NW of Peters.
Then crossed the ice to fan where
Schwiele nest #6 is located - on to
#7. Then crossed lake to west side
and rechecked all the willow zones
on the chutes going down to
the lake. Checked Schwiele area #2
again. Back across to camp at 1415.
Out to Schwiele #1 at 2100. Return at
2130.
