west side of Peters to the shrike
nest where I had cached by below,
John Hobble & [illegible] Brewer came
out to meet me in the Bombardier.
Arrived back in camp at 2230. Ate
then checked shrike's nest behind
camp. Retired at 2330.
In the morning there was a
light scattering of cumulus clouds,
but cleared up in the afternoon -
mostly clear and warm all day.
Bumblebees came out in numbers
everywhere.
June
Peters-Schroeder Lakes- took my
turn today as camp cook. Another
entirely clear, warm day. Wrote
notes in the afternoon.

Peters-Schroeder Lakes- 0830- off to
NW side of Schroeder in Bombardier-
J Frank Gerritt driving John Hobble,
Carrol Rock and me went to our starting
point for hike into a creek (NW of
Schroeder Knob) that flows into the
Saddlewocht R. above the main forks.
Bill Holmes (USGS) reported "eagles"
attacking him from some cliffs on
this creek, 4 miles distant from
