view and back along same route to the
tent. Makes came in saying he had
spotted some exotic duck up stream,
and we went off after it with the
shotgun. We did not find the pair again
but from his drawing of the drake we
were able to identify it later as
Anas formosae. We continued up the
left limit of the view about a mile,
and then turned and followed a large
creek inland for about another mile;
then back to camp via the same
route arriving at 0130 on 29th.

Pitmeleya - Cafe Tompsoon - Plotzglobe -
Moutak River - to Barrow.
Bobby Fischer came in at 1030
landing in a strong cross wind of about
30 mph - causing him some difficulty.
He did not want to take off with a
heavy load, so we cached a lot of
the equipment: Kalamarazo, tent, gas
churn, Coleman stove and lamp, such
of traps, and other odds and ends.
1146 we took off and flew up the
cost to Zig A (Cafe Beyford) to gun up
for a long recon flight.
