General Account
24 May -
stray all day with complete guescast.
Tent blew down once in the morning.
Except for running trap line
morning and evening, stayed in
Camp all day.
Only about 10% of ground still
covered by snow. Rain last night
hosted the melt-off. Many traps
incubated on the line.
25 May Pitmegea River - Wind continued strong
most of the day but sky was
clearing through the morning and
by noon there were only scattered
light clouds. Wind abated somewhat
in the afternoon but not much. We
again had trouble with the tent
this morning.
We took up the traps in
the late morning, and in the
afternoon from 1335 to 1800
we walked up river to the
first creek beyond camp. This
hugemow flowing with so much
water we could not cross, so we
continued along the quick walking
as far as the high ridge that
