I. Cade 1958 General Account September Uniat - Very few birds evident in the area. A few D. canadensis were seen by a lake as we some landing - otherwise nothing but red polls. Weather - mild - in the 60's but tending to cloud up in the evening. September Uniat - Heavy intermittent rain - with some snow flurries during the night. Overcast continued all day - cool in the high 30's, with some light snow flurries off and on all day. In the morning we set out traps on T6 & T9, and in the early afternoon ran the traps on T123. Saw teal on a small lake and one cock ptarmigan below T5 - few red polls - heard some honkers - otherwise nothing. Vegetation is quite barren all over now. Very conspicuous change from July. September Uniat - Ran the trap lines in the early afternoon. Snow on the ground this morning - some of it staying well into afternoon. Overcast all day. September Uniat - Ran trap lines in the afternoon - took up the traps on T123 and set them out on George Kriedel is now in charge at Uniat, with Glen Able as assistant.
