General Account
27 August - cont
me over. From there we took off with
a full load and flew to Baster Island
for refueling before going on to Barrow.
Arrived there at 1430. Took off around
1530 and arrived Barrow about 1830.
8 August
August to
September
Barrow - spent the day in the lab.
Barrow - in and around the lab on
all these days. On 1st Childs and I
gathered the final three samples of
material for Schultz.
September Barrow to M'cld River-
Merl Solomon and I left with
Porter Lockhart for the M'cld
River Coalmine at 1106. We arrived
at 1145 about. Merl and I are to be
on the M'cld for a week to carry out
the second running of the trap lines. In
the afternoon we set out traps on the
two lines by the big lake about a
mile NW of the village, and also on
the one in the oreillons on the other
side of the river. In addition we
set out another line (new) across
the river on the wet tundra land
parallel to the willow zone.
At 1430 I took a walk about 2
miles south W of camp and return.
