T. Cade 1958 General Account 5 August Jugo Lake Took up the traps on T2eT6 in the morning and packed up some of the gear in anticipation that Bobby Fischer would come in today, but the weather was overcast again today, and he did not arrive on schedule. Spent part of the day skinning and writing notes. Rain again in the afternoon. 6 August Jugo Lake - again waiting it out for Bobby. Weather is partly clear this morning- good enough for flying. Phenology; cran- berries full ripe for a week now - also ever berry. Salmon berries all gone - blueberries also mostly gone. Arctostaphylos deep red all cover - livel mostly red - still green in protected areas among rocks and on steep banks. Fall colors generally prevail. Ed Sable came in from Okpilak around 1300, August Jugo - Bawore - In the morning Malcolm and I walked down river to the large terrace meadows - marsh about a mile below camp. Returned along the river, arriving back at camp around 1200. Bobby Fischer came in around 1230. He took Malcolm and our load of gear over to Okpilak; then came back and shuttled
