T. Cade 1958 General Account August - cont - relatively high density in the lowland meadows along the river valley - serving thus as "spill over" avail to accommodate surplus animals from below. August Okpilak Lake - Rain storms began about 0600 and have continued off and on late into the morning - sometimes quite heavy. - Note - writing time! Cleaved up shortly after noon. Set out traps on T5 and T10 and spent the rest of the day skinning. 11 August Okpilak Lake - clear and warm day. Ed Dale, Bill Kelley and Ralph Bennett left in the early morning on a spike trip across the river to the aufeis about 3½ miles up the River. Charlie Keeler returned to the Jago camp at 1200. I spent the day in and around camp running the trap lines and skinning. Max Brewer and Max Britton flew in with Bobby Fischler around 1500. They were here for about an hour and then flew on over to the Jago. 12 August Okpilak Lake - in and around camp all day by myself running trap lines and skinning.
