Code 1958 General Account August - camp - heading back to the Saga. The Sliktok camp is situated at 2000 feet by a lake in the view valley, which at this point has steep walls rising up on the east side more than 1000 feet. From this point the view leads directly back into the mountain province proper. There are alluvial fans all along the sides of the valley and glacial moraines are frequent. The scenery is definitely alpine and quite spectacular. Jerry Brown regrets that he has been microtuitly [illegible] along the edge of Okfilake Lake and in the steep areas of the valley, through the alluvial fans just north of camp. August Okfilake River - Jerry Brown and I spent most of the day walking up river 3 1/2 miles to the locality where Ed Sable and John Cantlon reported finding joys nesting. We walked along the right limit - Keeping pretty close to the view on the way up. On the way back we traversed the alluvial fans along the side of the valley and at the foot of the steep rocky walls. About 2 mi above camp there is a sizeable stream
