Cable 1958 General Account 13 July - cont- out with the weasel and jeep to set out traps on T2 & T10. We took both vehicles because I wanted to see how far out I could take the jeep without getting stuck. Fortunately, it is possible to get it all the way down the wood to Old Unpeat, which puts us within easy walking of the trap lines. Hal then took us on over the rough stuff in the weasel. Wileox and Radke came along, and while they went walking along the ridge, we set out the traps. The vegetation along T2 is considerably higher than in '64 or '67 - especially in the place center ridge-groves marshed where this growth is almost twice as high (ca 18-20" wide) as previous. In the part the vegetation has not grown above the top of the stakes, but this year all the stakes are hidden below the crown of the groves and ridges. Also, despite the fact that this has been a wet summer, this line is drier in the feed chutes than in '64 or '67. Some stakes are standing in water about 2" deep, but most of the sites are really flooded as in the past.
