General Account
8 July Barrow to Unijat
Slept late after Max's party and
boarded the Wien plane for Unijat at
1400. Sat by Vick Ibesler from the Geo-
physical institute. Arrived at Unijat at
1515, accompanied by Chester Lampe.
We were met by Harold Griffin, who
was putting his wife on the plane to
go outside for their two boys.
Spent the rest of the day getting set up
at Unijat, writing up notes etc. We are
staying with the Griffins at the radio
station rather than going up to the USBS
quarset, which is in a quelp. We are
also eating with the Griffins. There
is one other Wien man here, Dave
Crumley, who is Harold's helper.

jeep at 0900 to set traps on T123 and
T507. At 0915 we were stuck in
a washout on alligator wood and had

we were on our way again in Cal's
weasel. He took us up to T123 and
chopped us and the traps off. He set
those lines, and then walked down the
hill to T5 and 7 to set those. Then
