29 June
Went out to check transects 102 at 1305. Returned to camp at 1410. Went across the river again at 1520, walked around in the marsh-lake terrain and up onto the high-cuto polygon upland beyond. Returned to camp at 1720.
Weather intermittently clear and cloudy with solid overcast developing in the late evening.
June - Brock and I went out at 1325 to check the traps on T304. From there we continued on down the river for about two miles, passing the old village site of Athasuk and keeping north to the high "barrens" type ground along the sand bluffs which front on the river. This habitat is a riot of blossoms now- blooming in full bloom, several kinds of Pedicularis, two kinds of seltch, Cassiope, Dryas, Papaver, Leclerc, and many others which I do not know. We returned to camp at 1735.
Went out at 2125 to check T102.
