I. Cole 1957 General Account 28 July - Pitt Point Went out at 0855 to view traps on T2. From there I walked a warp down the Long Road, then cut across to the area of owl nest #6, then on to the area of owl nest #2, and then north of there for half a mile and return to T1. Back in camp at 1140. At 1530 I went out to look at owl nest #1, found the 3 banded juncos #’s 11211, 11212, 11213 on the Sheet Rock. Same Q that takes care of 11210 flies over to take care of these 3 also. The single young is ca 1/4 mile away from the other three. From nest #1 I walked SE to the lake area toward the old village site and return to camp at 1730. Out to view trap lines at 2255 and back in camp at 2300. Rain began around 0430 and continued fairly heavily until 0800. Continued light, intermittent rain all the rest of the day. Oliktok Point, 1955 One of the men here again brought up the subject of the great number of owls resting around POLO 2 (Oliktok Point) in 1955. This without prompting from me.
