Code 1957 General Account 7 July - Colville R. check agues. 2206 Left this cliff and continued down river. 2230 Stopped on gravel bank across from mouth of Killik River to make first camp. Weather overcast all day with breezy westerly breezes and intermittent light showers. 8 July - Colville River 1045 Left the Killik River camp with clearing skies and bright sun, westerly wind still blowing. Were not bothered by mosquitoes at night because of wind. We used the Kalayazos as a lean-to. 1055 Stopped at a bluff on right bank - with clear running below the length of it- just off the main course of the river. 1500 Left this site and continued down river. - Is this "Starfish Bluff" of the maps? 1620 At the bluff on right bank where gaps were resting in old wolverine's nest in 1952. 1735 Left this site and on down river. 1907 At the Double Knife Ridge Bluff. 2035 Left this cliff and on down river. I've almost lost the boat in the rapids below
