General Account
July, Uniat and Colville River
Ran the traplines and live traps in the early morning. Caught nothing in the live traps.
Flew a reconnaissance trip up the Colville River; Andy Anderson-pilot and also accompanied by Harold Griffis, a View employee at Uniat. 2 literary followers: flew at ca 600 feet above ground at ca 100 miles hour
1030 - we were off the water at Uniat-upstream
1100 - at the mouth of Oolamugoreik River and rep that stream
1122 - on the small lake at the upper gorge area on the Oolamugoreik, where we were landed last year. On ground ca 1/3 hour.
1128 - off the lake-just made it-and back down the Oolamugoreik.
1252 - down on the Colville River and coasted along Starfish Bluff looking for falcons
1309 - off the river and headed downstream.
1325 - on the river again by the double Knife ridge bluff
1331 - off again
1355 - on the lagoon at Uniat.
Ran traplines again in the late evening and took live traps on T10. Caught one live M. odocoileus.
