1. Cable 1957 General Account 14 June, Wainwright, Alaska. Up at 0600, cleaned up kitchen, and then gathered up the traps on the focus lines. Finished in the field and back to the village at 0930. Packed up gears and had it loaded onto sled and taken out onto the sea ice by dog team. Lockheart came in from Bassaw around 1020, and we departed on the return flight at 1055. Arrived at Bassaw at 1150. Spent the afternoon talking over the Pitmegea trip with Brewer and Childs and helping Hank get food and gear ready. Kovanda plans to go down with him for a few days at the beginning. The food and gears will be shuttled by Lockheart from Liz A to the Pitmegea. 15 June, Bassaw, Alaska. Spent the morning again in preparations for the Pitmegea trip. Also began organizing food and supplies for Uniat. I will leave there on 17th. Childs and Kovanda left with Lockheart for the Pitmegea at 1306. The gear left earlier this morning for Liz A. Walked out in the area south of the can piles between 1400 and 1730.
